Cleto Munari was born in Gorizia and he lives and works in Vicenza. In 1985 he opened a workshop-studio-jeweller’s shop where, with a number of world-famous architects, he designed and made jewels and objects in silver for his new avantgarde collections, which have made history in jewellery worldwide. Objects designed by Cleto Munari are in the permanent collections of the world’s principal museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Pen dedicated to the Nobel prize winner for literature, Wole Soyinka
Wole Soyinka was born at Abeokuta, Nigeria, in 1934. He went to university in England and in 1965 he published his first novel, The Interpreters. He has written more than twenty plays and adapted to an African context the Bacchae by Euripides and Brecht’s Dreigroschenoper. He has received honours worldwide and was awarded the Nobel Literature Prize in 1986. Persecuted and sentenced to death in Nigeria, Soyinka now lives in the USA.
